The Creative Writing Club meets on the first Thursday of every month at The Block Pilates Studio in Salt Lake City.

Club nights have a maximum of 13 guests. The studio is cozy, wheelchair accessible, and includes a single bathroom.

Events vary between writing games, creative exercises, craft-based activities, and interactive workshops. Each month is different in experience but always related to writing.

No one is ever required to share personal writing or read aloud, though some activities may involve exchanging writing or interacting with each other as part of the activity itself.

No. The CWC is not a formal class and does not teach English or writing techniques. It’s similar to a book club in that it’s driven by a love for writing.

The club is open to adults 18+ who enjoy writing and want to be part of a local creative community once a month.

Each club night is $15. This goes back into the club and helps cover writing materials, refreshments, giveaways, the studio, themed props, and print used during the night.

Each event is planned and guided by Dreyden Wilde, with generous help from friends and family in physically setting up.

Yes. Light refreshments are provided at each club night and change according to theme and activity.

Yes. Outdoor club nights are planned when weather allows, which may also accommodate larger groups.

Guests are expected to treat the space, and one another, with respect at all times.
