If the event is sold out, you will have the option to be added to a wait list.

In the event someone cancels, you will be offered the space in order of sign-up.

If no one cancels, the waitlist will be notified to sign up for next month’s event 2 hours before opening to everyone.

If you’re attending an event, you cannot sign up to get dibs for next month.

The system is made to give everyone an equal opportunity to attend.

If you’re particular or would like to keep all of your writing in one place, please bring your own items.

Light refreshments are provided but feel free to bring your own snacks.

However, some activities require guests to trade. Please bring only what you’re comfortable with someone else using, or dedicate it for personal use during free-writing time.

The Block is located in a popular part of Salt Lake with free parking available, however, it tends to fill up. Please plan ahead.

If a guest has a bad experience and chooses to leave, we’ll issue a full refund.

Cancellations made at least 30 minutes before the event start time will also receive a full $15 refund.

No refunds will be given for no-shows or cancellations made less than 30 minutes before start time.

No, anyone who enjoys writing is welcome to attend, and anyone who attends is automatically a member.

The studio is wheelchair accessible and is equipped with a large single bathroom.

Attendance is limited to 13 to give each guest the space to feel comfortable and move freely.

Yes, the studio has overhead lights and each table is equipped with an adjustable lamp. Additionally, individual clip-on lights are available for use.

We encourage joining the full experience, but you’re welcome to skip the activity and arrive for free-writing — just let your host know. No refunds will be given for partial participation.

Yes, everyone attending, entirely or otherwise, must have a valid RSVP.

Some activities may involve reading aloud or collaborating with others. We know this can feel intimidating, but we encourage you to be brave and step outside your comfort zone. Your courage could motivate someone else to be brave also.

We unfortunately do not provide event details in advance. So, for those who really would like to skip these activities, you’re welcome to contact us ♥

We put a lot of effort into planning and executing each event, so the ticket price is required.

If for some reason a guest cannot pay but would like to attend, please contact us ♥

We accept cash at the door, but please inform your host ahead of time as RSVPs are not valid unless payment is made or discussed.

At this time, we are a 21+ event. However, we may host a kids’ creative writing workshop in the future. Please contact us if you’re interested.
